The Chia Fan Foundation scholarship award ceremony was conducted on May 25, 2019. This was our 2nd year for awarding the scholarship. This year, the number of applicants more than doubled, going from 212 applicants in 2018 to over 500 applicants in 2019. Due to the increased number of applicants, it was a lot of work to review, interview, and process all of the applications.

The efforts were lead by the Managing Director in Taiwan, Professor Chun-Liang Lai, as well as committee members, staff and volunteers and their work was much appreciated. They selected eighteen candidates who were awarded with scholarships. The foundation is proud to be able to provide support to these young students, those in need and well-deserving recipients. It was a pleasure to participate in the award ceremony, and a great honor to meet with the dedicated committees, staff, and impressive young recipients. It is our plan to increase the number of scholarships in the coming years.
